Hemingway's Bar Branding
CONCEPT / BRANDING / DESIGN / ARTWORK
The 2017 revamp of The Anchorage Hotel, Australia, saw the creation of new in-house whisky bar, boasting rich mahogany, stone, dark timber, with aged leather, plaid and velvet textures.
Taking inspiration from tradition, we named the bar ‘Hemingway’s’ after the late author who was famed for his love of a drop or two. Naturally the design language throughout the brand collateral took lead from Hemingway himself, creating menus which resembled vintage books, reservation cards which looked like old stamped library cards and branded leather bookmarks which were handed out on launch night.
I also designed bar coasters, branded leather aprons and signage, as well as selecting staff uniforms, cutlery and glassware.
Project completed whilst freelancing for Sydney based agency Enigma.
